This Classic 1950s linen dress is beautifully made and finished with no designer’s label but definitely shop bought or tailor-made. Unworn condition in a soft, raspberry linen.
The bodice has extended armholes with splits on each shoulder. It has 2 soft pleats at waistline at front. Edges are finished in top stitching.
The skirt is made with 6 panels that form a slightly A-line shape. Skirt has 2 large pointed pockets on each hip which are top-
stitched and have large white buttons. Has original, self- covered belt with circular buckle. It is not lined. Closes at back with a short metal zip and at the side with a longer metal zip.
(approx AU 10 to small 12 )
Please check measurements as the waist measurements were very small and the girls shorter in the 1950s. Measurements are measured flat on dress so please remember to allow room to move. It is always a good idea to check measurements against a dress that you know fits
