Description
This pretty sleeveless cotton lace dress was made in Venice, Italy around the late 50s to early 60s. It has no label.
The fabric is a high quality cutout embroidered cotton lace which has a beautiful border. Elegantly styled with extended armholes on bodice where the fabric border creates a yoke effect at neckline and shoulders. It is softly gathered at waist at front.
The skirt is also gathered at waist and is fully lined in black acetate satin. The bodice is not lined but if you were after a more demure look you could easily wear a black camisole. Closes at the side with a metal zip.
The velvet belt is not original and is one I have made from wide velvet ribbon and a genuine 1930s buckle. Is included in price
Condition Excellent
Size SMALL (approx AU10)
Please check measurements as the waist measurements were very small and the girls shorter in the 1950s. Measurements are measured flat on dress so please remember to allow room to move. It is always a good idea to check measurements against a dress that you know fits
