Vintage 1950s dress by Carlye in black lightweight textured silk fabric.
Elegant styling and detailing. Flattering wide square neckline. Straight A-line shape at the front with under-bust pleating and detailing. The darts on either side of front seam give shape at torso and waist.
The back is the standout feature with 2 large box pleats created to give a fabulous flare.
There is a self-fabric bow over the long metal zip at the back.
Has dainty small sleeves that are slightly gathered at shoulders. The dress is not lined.
