Description
Gorgeous vintage 1950s long black tulle and lace dress by Baker of Melbourne.
The fitted bodice is black lace lined with black tulle and flesh-coloured acetate satin.
Has sweetheart-shaped neckline and tulle shoulder straps.
The full long skirt skirt is made from 3 layers. The top two are black tulle, fully circular in shape, which creates a smooth waistline flaring to a wonderful full skirt. The lining is flesh-coloured acetate satin.
The dress closes at the side with a long metal zip. There is also a black tulle wrap not shown in photos.
Please note the velvet ribbon and vintage rhinestone buckle are not original to dress but are included in price.
Vintage clothing sells only genuine, original vintage fashions.
Condition Excellent top layers of lace and tulle but the acetate lining of the skirt is quite extensively marked which I have tried to show in photo. I have had the dress dry-cleaned so it is clean but the marks didn’t disappear. They are not dark and look like water marks so don’t show through the tulle. There are also a couple of small rust-like marks on lining of bodice.
Size Medium (approx AU 10)
Please check measurements as the waist measurements were very small and the girls shorter in the 1950s. Measurements are measured flat on dress so please remember to allow room to move. It is always a good idea to check measurements against a dress that you know fits
