This 1930s lace dress was well made. Not sure of the composition of the black lace but it has the look and feel of cotton.
Typical 30s styling with slightly fitted bodice to the hips where it attaches to the full gored skirt with the deep v-shaped seams. The puff sleeves are lined with black fine tulle to keep the shape. The neckline and armhole seams are finished with satin rolled binding.
There is a wonderful hand-made satin and lace floral motif that is attached down the left side from the hips to just above hem. The satin is black not purplish as showing in photos. Closes at the side with 5 metal press studs. Comes with a straight black silky petticoat.
Size SMALL (approx AU 8-10)
Please check sizes to be sure and remember to leave room for movement as they are measured flat on garment . I highly recommend comparing measurements to a dress you own that fits.
